We are seeking a compassionate and highly skilled Mental Health Counselor/Therapist to join our team as a Director/Supervisor. You will play a vital role in supporting your team in professional therapy and counseling services to individuals dealing with mental health conditions. This position involves working collaboratively with your team of clinicians to identify goals, develop treatment plans, and implement therapeutic strategies. Successful candidates should possess exceptional communication skills, empathy, and a strong background in mental health counseling. Must have some experience with children.Responsibilities:
Supervise a team, work with the Sr. Clinical Director and members of the Administrative Management team.
- Provide administrative supervision and support to licensed and provisionally licensed clinicians.
- Establish rapport and build strong professional relationships with clinicians in a non-judgmental and empathetic manner.
- Utilize various therapeutic techniques and interventions to assist clinicians with addressing clients' mental health concerns and promote positive change.
- Guide clinicians through the process of identifying, understanding, and modifying harmful behaviors and thought patterns.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate client care effectively.
- Ensure clinical documentation is completed in accordance to LLMC policies and HIPAA compliance .
- Participate in ongoing professional development activities to stay updated on best practices and new treatment modalities.
- Stay informed about changes and advancements in the field of mental health counseling and incorporate new knowledge into practice.
- Foster a learning environment by identifying areas for improvement and appropriate training opportunities for clinicians.
Requirements:Be Licensed and able to supervise other clinicians.
3 years experience as a Licensed PsyD, Ph.D, LCSW, or LPC.
- Master's degree or higher in counseling or related field from an accredited institution.
- Valid Oregon state license or certification as a Mental Health Counselor/Therapist.
- Proven experience providing therapy and counseling services to individuals with mental health conditions.
- Strong knowledge of various therapeutic approaches, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy.
- Excellent listening skills and the ability to establish trust and rapport with diverse populations.- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with clinicians, peers, management and external agencies.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines.
- Proficiency in using electronic health records systems.
- Flexibility to accommodate varying work hours and meet the needs of the clinicians under your supervision.
This is an in-office/in-person position.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a private practice or healthcare setting is highly desirable.
- Specialization or additional training in specific areas such as trauma, substance abuse, child and adolescent counseling, or couples therapy.
- Bilingual proficiency in languages commonly spoken by the local community but not necessary.
- Previous supervision experience is preferred, but not required.
