Summary:
The Donor Registry Engagement Coordinator plays a vital role in advancing the life-saving mission of LifeLink Foundation by cultivating relationships, developing partnerships, and coordinating outreach efforts within with driver license offices and other entities that serve as portals for organ, tissue, and eye donor registration. This position serves as the primary liaison between LifeLink and the leadership and staff of these entities, equipping them with the training, resources, support, and public education materials and messaging, needed to advocate for organ and tissue donation. Through innovative public education campaigns and collaborative initiatives, the Donor Registry Engagement Coordinator engages these stakeholders and their audiences to increase donor registration and foster a culture of support for organ and tissue donation.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and evaluate outreach programs to engage driver license office staff, visitors, and customers, as well as those of other entities that serve as portals for organ, tissue, and eye donor registration with the goal of increasing donor registrations.
- Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with leadership and staff to secure their active participation in public education and donor registration initiatives.
- Provide training, resources, and ongoing support to entity leadership and staff, ensuring they are knowledgeable about organ and tissue donation, the donor registration process, and the LifeLink mission.
- Develop and execute public education campaigns and events in collaboration with driver license offices and other entities that serve as portals for organ, tissue, and eye donor registration, as well their surrounding communities and audiences to raise awareness about organ and tissue donation and increase donor registration.
- Track and analyze donor registration metrics, sharing insights and progress with leadership and staff of driver license offices and other entities that serve as portals for organ, tissue, and eye donor registration to motivate continuous improvement.
- Recognize and celebrate the efforts and achievements of leadership and staff with driver license offices and other entities that serve as portals for organ, tissue, and eye donor registration for their contributions to increasing donor registration rates.
- Cultivate champions for organ and tissue donation within driver license offices and other entities that serve as portals for organ, tissue, and eye donor registration, empowering them to drive internal advocacy and support for donation efforts.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop and distribute public education materials, digital content, and promotional items that encourage advocacy for donor registration within driver license offices and other entities that serve as portals for organ, tissue, and eye donor registration.
- Identify and implement best practices, sharing lessons learned with the broader team to enhance the effectiveness of outreach efforts across all regions.
- Participate in other initiatives, projects, and departmental efforts to support the organization’s overarching goal of saving and improving lives through organ and tissue donation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications, marketing, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered.
- Experience in community outreach, public relations, or educational programs is highly preferred. Experience with government or public sector partnerships is a plus.
- Creative mindset with a solutions-oriented approach to outreach challenges.
- Exceptional relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage and sustain partnerships with diverse stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to inspire and motivate audiences and convey complex information clearly and effectively.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, capable of balancing multiple initiatives and meeting deadlines.
- Familiarity with public education campaign development and implementation, social media tools, and community engagement strategies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and applications used in public relations or community engagement, such as Canva and social media platforms.
- Ability to travel locally up to 40% of the time within the designated area, and occasionally for regional events, conferences, or meetings.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and reliable transportation.
- For positions in Puerto Rico: Must be fully bilingual in English and Spanish, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate with diverse audiences.
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds on occasion, using appropriate equipment.
Working Conditions
Pleasant, team-oriented working environment. Routinely works customary hours although deadlines, special events, presentations, etc. may require extended working hours. Some travel is required. Routine confidentiality must be practiced.
