The Social Media Specialist plays a vital role in advancing the life-saving mission of LifeLink Foundation by developing, executing, and analyzing social media strategies that enhance the LifeLink Foundation digital presence, increase donor registration, and promote awareness of organ and tissue donation. Responsible for creating engaging content tailored to diverse audiences, monitor the organization’s social media platforms, and contribute to digital campaigns that align with organizational goals and branding.
Through creative social media and digital content and superior storytelling skills, the Social Media Specialist increases donor registration and fosters a culture of support for organ and tissue donation.
Responsibilities
Pleasant, team-oriented working environment. Routinely works customary hours although deadlines, special events, presentations, etc. may require extended working hours. Some travel required. Routine confidentiality must be practiced.

Through creative social media and digital content and superior storytelling skills, the Social Media Specialist increases donor registration and fosters a culture of support for organ and tissue donation.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement social media strategies to enhance engagement, increase donor registrations, and support organizational initiatives.
- Create and curate compelling social media content, including text, graphics, videos, and stories, tailored to the unique characteristics and audiences of each platform.
- Manage the day-to-day activities of the organization’s social media accounts, including scheduling, posting, and monitoring.
- Engage with followers, respond to inquiries, and seek to build relationships with identified stakeholders whose online communities foster support for our lifesaving mission.
- Monitor and analyze social media performance metrics, providing regular reports and insights to inform strategy and improve outcomes.
- Stay up to date on social media trends, tools, and best practices to ensure innovative and effective approaches.
- Collaborate with departmental and divisional teams to showcase each LifeLink division, key successes and innovation, public education initiatives, and events.
- Assist in managing paid social media campaigns, including creating ad content and monitoring performance.
- Support crisis communication efforts by providing timely and accurate social media updates as needed.
- Identify and implement best practices, sharing lessons learned with the broader team to enhance the effectiveness of outreach efforts across all regions.
- Participate in other initiatives, projects, and departmental efforts, and other duties as assigned, to support the organization’s overarching goal of saving and improving lives through organ and tissue donation.
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, digital media, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
- Demonstrated experience in social media content creation and evaluation of metrics to determine performance.
- Creative mindset with a solutions-oriented approach to outreach challenges.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, analytics tools, and content management systems.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on creating engaging and impactful content.
- Ability to analyze data and apply insights to optimize social media strategies.
- Creative thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving and innovation.
- Proficiency with graphic design tools including Canva and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds on occasion, using appropriate equipment.
