Job Summary:
The Corporate Engagement Manager plays a key role in advancing Lifelong’s mission by building dynamic partnerships with businesses of all sizes—local, national, and international. Managing a portfolio of 75–125 contacts, this position focuses on cultivating lasting relationships through strategic outreach, personalized engagement, and account management. This role offers the opportunity to engage with the community, working on collaborations that elevate Lifelong’s brand, including mutually beneficial partnerships and third-party fundraising events. By securing funding and support, the Corporate Engagement Manager directly contributes to Lifelong’s financial sustainability and impact. The position reports to the Director of Philanthropy.
Qualifications
Essential Duties:
- Leads the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of corporate partners, documenting activities in Salesforce.
- Develops and maintains a funding application and proposal calendar, including submission dates, report schedules, and reapplication requirements.
- Prepares funding requests and reports, including narratives, budgets, and supporting documentation.
- Manages the creation, implementation, and evaluation of a comprehensive sponsorship plan.
- Tracks corporate giving trends through ongoing education and engagement with professional organizations.
- Collaborates with Lifelong leadership and program staff to align funding requests with organizational priorities.
- Oversees Dining Out For Life (DOFL).
- Supports the Philanthropy Team to maximize fundraising revenue and advance Lifelong’s mission.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Core Competencies:
- Demonstrated knowledge of cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies and techniques, particularly in the area of corporate fundraising.
- Strong computer skills, including Salesforce (or similar CRM), and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills.
- Proven ability to communicate and work effectively with corporate donors, community partners, and staff from diverse backgrounds.
- Demonstrated knowledge of project management principles including development and coordination of plans, communication, collaboration, and time management.
- Proven ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
Education and Experience:
- Three years of experience in fund development, management of corporate giving, or a corporate relationship building program required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field preferred, or combination and/or work experience.
Work Environment:
- This position is a hybrid with a requirement to work two (2) days a week (M-F) in Lifelong’s Georgetown office.

Salary : $72,000 - $78,000
