Job Summary:
The Information Technology Manager demonstrates strong operational expertise to lead and manage the daily technology needs of Lifelong in support of its mission to promote health equity and serve the community. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer/Chief Operating Officer (CFO/COO) and working in collaboration with the Chief Strategy and Compliance Officer (CSCO) for strategic alignment, the IT Manager will focus on ensuring the smooth operation of Lifelong’s IT infrastructure, team performance, and service delivery while implementing approved IT strategies to achieve organizational goals.
As a "player/coach," the IT Manager will take a hands-on approach to managing IT operations, resolving technical challenges, and fostering a culture of collaboration and growth within the IT team. Key metrics for success include achieving high customer satisfaction and meeting or exceeding service level agreement (SLA) performance targets. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, team-focused leader who thrives on optimizing IT operations, implementing practical solutions, and delivering exceptional support.
Qualifications
Essential Duties:
- Foster Team Development: Lead and mentor the IT team, promoting professional growth and a high-performance culture. Act as a hands-on leader, providing guidance and support in resolving technical challenges and building team effectiveness.
- Ensure Operational Excellence: Oversee IT operations, including end-user support, network infrastructure, hardware, and software. Monitor and improve IT service delivery to meet or exceed SLA targets and customer satisfaction goals.
- Safeguard IT Systems: Ensure the security and integrity of Lifelong’s IT infrastructure by implementing robust cybersecurity measures. Maintain compliance with all relevant regulations, including HIPAA, and oversee the regular review and testing of the technology disaster recovery plan.
- Drive Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities for improving IT processes and solutions to enhance operational efficiency and support Lifelong’s mission.
- Manage IT Budget: Develop and oversee the annual IT budget, ensuring alignment with operational priorities. Optimize spending to maintain high performance and reliability within fiscal constraints.
- Manage Vendor Relationships: Build and maintain effective relationships with external vendors to ensure high-quality service delivery. Negotiate and oversee contracts for hardware, software, and other technology services.
- Oversee IT Projects: Coordinate and manage IT projects, such as system migrations, technology deployments, and upgrades. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget, while minimizing operational disruptions.
- Execute Approved IT Strategies: Collaborate with the CFO/COO and CSCO to understand and implement Lifelong’s IT strategies. Focus on delivering practical, operational solutions that align with organizational goals and mission priorities.
Core Competencies:
- Proven ability to manage and support enterprise IT systems in a Windows, SCALE, Citrix and Cisco-Meraki environment.
- Strong hands-on technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated success in team leadership, including mentoring and fostering professional growth.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance (e.g., HIPAA).
- Expertise in vendor management, contract negotiation, and budget oversight.
- Experience implementing and enforcing IT policies and procedures.
- Advanced project management skills.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. A Master’s degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years in IT leadership roles, with demonstrated experience in team management, operational excellence, and project implementation in a complex IT environment.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, CompTIA Security , CISSP, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator) are highly desirable.
- Experience with cloud-based infrastructure, virtualization technologies, and modern cybersecurity practices is highly preferred.
Work Environment:
- This is an in-office position with the opportunity to work remotely on occasion.

Salary : $115,000 - $145,000
