How You Will Make an Impact
The Curriculum and Instruction Coordinator is responsible for the improvement of learning opportunities through the provision of instructional leadership. This position will manage curriculum development and collaborate with regional leadership on curriculum implementation and support instruction for all subject areas and delivery modes and assist in reviewing externally produced content and resources. This position will be involved with planning and design of course content and assessments for a specific subject area(s), curriculum innovation, design, pedagogy and research to ensure the development and maintenance of the highest quality courses for students and its clients / partners.

Coordinate planning, designing, and development of course content and assessmentsCoordinate the integration of new technology into the curriculum, carefully assessing teaching methods and offering suggestions on ways to improve the overall educational experienceCollaborate with stakeholders to seek out and design innovative learning materials for studentsDevelop short and long-term goals for the curricular area with an emphasis on K-12th grade alignment and articulationReview course and content data making recommendations regarding revisionsPlan and implement curriculum / instruction staff development programs for school staffCoordinate the instructional materials adoption processWork with the curriculum development team to produce organizational content including new state expansionProvide advice and counsel for teachers and principals on matters pertaining to instructionProvide ongoing instructional support and classroom management assistance for teachersFocus on individual and group professional development that will expand and refine the understanding about researched-based effective instructionUpdate and maintain organization technologies in the area of curriculum and instructionResearch new and innovative curriculum practicesStay current with curricular trends and changes in State Education standardsMaintain professional membership(s) and disseminate appropriate information from national and state education agencies and organizationsAdministrative duties, responsibilities and activities may be assigned or changed from time to timeSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES :
Manage, coordinate, supervise, coach, and direct the hiring, training, or performance evaluations of team members and oversee their daily activitiesQualifications

Bachelor Degree required. Masters Degree preferredValid California Teaching Credential required; Valid CA Administrative Services Credentialed PreferredPrior teaching experience requiredExperience with curriculum developmentExperience with varied education softwareIntermediate or Advanced, or Expert skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)TRAVEL : Ability to travel in performance of job duties is required
