ABOUT LIFEMOVES
LifeMoves is the largest provider of interim housing and support services in the Bay Area. Last year, LifeMoves serviced over 7500 clients and returned over 2,000 people to housing and stability for 86% of families and 67% of individuals engaged in their programs. With over two dozen and counting interim housing and service communities from Daly City to San Jose, LifeMoves gives our neighbors experiencing homelessness a temporary place to call home while providing intensive, customized case management through both site-based programs and community outreach that teaches and reinforces skills that clients need to return to and sustain stable housing.
POSITION PURPOSE
The Data and Compliance Manager will oversee the provision of timely and accurate data to ensure compliance with grant reporting requirements. The Data and Compliance Manager is responsible for overseeing the use of HMIS data systems, ensuring that all information is stored, managed, and accessed efficiently and securely. The Data and Compliance Manager will work closely with various departments to ensure data integrity, availability, and compliance with relevant regulations.
This role qualifies for a hybrid schedule (a minimum of two days in the office and a maximum of three days remotely). ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Compliance and Reporting:
• Oversee provision of data for reports for external and internal stakeholders that will be submitted by Compliance or Grants team members.
Data Governance:
• Develop and implement HMIS data management policies and procedures to ensure data accuracy, security, and compliance.
• Establish HMIS data governance frameworks and ensure adherence across the organization. • Monitor and audit data quality, making improvements as necessary.
Data Collection:
• Collaborate with various departments to understand their data needs and develop strategies to meet those needs.
• Manage the collection, processing, and storage of HMIS data, ensuring it is organized and accessible.
Team Management:
• Lead and manage a team of Compliance data analysts
• Provide guidance, training, and development opportunities to team members.
• Set team goals, monitor performance, and ensure projects are completed on time.
Software and Tools:
• Select and implement appropriate software tools for data management, including databases, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) tools, and data visualization software.
• Stay updated on the latest data management technologies and trends, recommending upgrades and new implementations.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree and 5-7 years of related experience.
• Proven experience in data management, data governance, or a related role.
• Strong understanding of database structure, design, and implementation.
• Experience with compliance standards.
• Proficiency in data management tools (e.g., SQL, ETL tools, data warehousing solutions). • Experience managing a team of data professionals.
• Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
