Position Summary:
LifeMoves | Branham Lane, located in south San Jose, supports single adults and adult families/multi-generational households. The program offers on-site services and connections to additional resources, including assistance with housing searches and meeting basic needs. LifeMoves aims to help participants achieve self-sufficiency through various support services, such as financial workshops, resume building, nutrition guidance, and conflict resolution, with the ultimate goal of securing permanent housing.
About this role
- Responsible for delivery of services in an ethical, professional and effective manner
- Full oversight of staff including: hiring, training, supervision and facilitation of staff meetings
- Develop appropriate program procedures, policies, and forms and ensure their implementation
- Develop and implement annual program plan in collaboration with staff and the Director of Interim Supportive Housing, Santa Clara County
- Develop and monitor an annual program budget
- Supervise the collection, compilation, and submission of all program statistics, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports submission to senior administrative team; ensuring all reports meet funding and legal requirements
- Coordinate program development in the following areas: job development, follow-up program, donations, food services, volunteers, recreational activities for clients, and other areas as needed
- Supervise case management andOperations & Services Manager staff; at times, provide direct services to clients.
- Work with the Veterans Administration and City of San Jose Housing Department leadership to ensure we are remaining contract compliant.
- Build a positive relationship with coordinated entry (Here4You) and address any concerns on their end.
- Ensure development and facilitation of, workshops, and support groups as needed
- Address client appeals and grievances
Qualifications
Job Qualifications
- Bachelors in Psychology, Sociology or other humanities field required; Masters in Social Work or related field preferred
- Minimum 3 years of non-profit management experience
- Experience developing, managing, evaluating and operating programs serving homeless populations
- Strong written and oral communication, personnel management, conflict resolution, and clinical supervision skills are necessary
- Strong knowledge of substance abuse and relapse prevention, mental health issues, and domestic violence is required
- A strong foundation in the ideas and practices that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion; and a commitment to ongoing professional development in this area
- Multicultural competency helpful
- Bilingual Spanish speaking preferred
