What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Mechanic position at LifePath Systems?
This position is responsible for all aspects of the agency fleet of vehicles as well as performs routine maintenance and construction work to ensure the proper upkeep of buildings, utility systems, and stationary equipment specifically;
Develop and maintain a comprehensive database or fleet management software program to track inspections, maintenance, registration, and vehicle usage.
Oversee the maintenance of agency vehicles, including scheduling and arranging transportation for routine and necessary maintenance.
Conduct periodic vehicle inspections and ensure timely follow-up on required repairs
Manage vehicle keys, fuel cards, and toll tags, ensuring their proper allocation and usage.
Administer the agency fuel card program, including tracking fuel costs per program and ensuring compliance with budgetary guidelines.
Maintain accurate records of vehicle inspections and registrations.
Assist in the planning, processing, and execution of vehicle purchases and auctions.
Collaborate with other departments on various projects and tasks as needed.
Perform routine maintenance and repair work on buildings, utility systems, and stationary equipment.
Conduct inspections to identify and address maintenance needs.
Move furniture as required for maintenance or operational needs.
Assist in planning and executing projects as necessary.

Education, Training And Experience (including Licensure And Certification)

Education, Training And Experience (including Licensure And Certification)
- High School Diploma or general education degree (GED;) or
- One (1) to three (3) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and
- Must have a valid Texas Driver’s License
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and
employees, add, subtract, multiply, divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and
decimals, compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret simple construction plans.
