Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Clinical Therapist to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will provide direct support and patient care in a hospital setting, utilizing various therapeutic techniques to promote mental health and well-being. This role requires a deep understanding of behavioral therapy, ability to work with youth, and adherence to HIPAA regulations. The Clinical Therapist will work collaboratively with patients to develop personalized treatment plans that may incorporate art therapy and ARC counseling framework to different modalities like DBT, brainspotting, CBT, TFCBT, and Polyvagal theory.
This particular position is for Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Fridays and Saturdays. Weekdays tend to be second shift from 2-9pm— Saturdays are more flexible with time frame. This is to consider our clientele who are in school til afternoon
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ mental health needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient goals.
- Provide direct support through individual and group therapy sessions.
- Utilize evidence-based practices such as motivational interviewing and behavioral therapy.
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic client care.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in therapy.
- Support patients in crisis situations, providing immediate intervention as needed.
- Incorporate play therapy techniques when appropriate to enhance therapeutic outcomes.
- Complete ARC Course before starting
Experience
- A Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field is required.
- Licensure as a Clinical Therapist or equivalent credential is required.
- Familiarity with ICD-10 coding for mental health diagnoses is beneficial.
- Knowledge of special education principles is a plus for working with diverse populations.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with patients from various backgrounds.
- Be willing to attend weekly team meetings and supervision as needed with an open mind
