Qualifications and requirements
Applicants should have a current state LPN license. Additional requirements include:
- Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
- ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.
- Requires one at least one year of work experience. Greater than 2 years preferred.

What you will do
- Will be responsible and accountable for providing and coordinating patient care.
- Identifies and addresses patient’s needs and priorities through assessment, planning and collaboration with other health care providers.
- Will execute physician orders and supervise the implementation of nursing interventions.
- Will advocate for the patient representing the patient’s interests when illness prevents an individual from being physically or emotionally able to express their own feelings or thoughts.
- Will be responsible to care through the outcomes of clinical results, patient satisfaction and acceptable cost.

North Alabama Shoals Hospital is a 178-bed general acute care facility boasting spacious, private rooms for all patients, a 24-hour emergency department, medical and oncology services; medical/surgical inpatient units; and intensive care and short-stay surgery units. Sommer Rehabilitation Unit, and the Shoals Senior Care Center, the Shoals’ only psychiatric unit dedicated to our senior adults.
