Medical Receptionist
This position is eligible for a sign on bonus of $5000.00 with a 1 year commitment to that role.
*Open to external applicants who have not been previously employed by CMC in the last rolling 9 months.
Status/FTE: Full Time / 0.8-1.0
Shift length: 8 hours
Start Time: 0700
Unit: OP Pediatric Therapies
Weekend Requirements: No weekends or holidays
This position requires minimum of one year of experience in equivalent role. Looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys being a part of a diverse team. One will assist patients with registering and scheduling appointments in a professional and courteous manner. Responsible for managing therapists schedules. Responsible for primary phone coverage including taking and distributing messages. Responsible for all patient check-in and chart organization. Responsible for insurance verification and determining therapy specific benefits. Responsible for scanning and faxing medical records into patient record and to providers offices. Distributes all incoming and outgoing department mail to the appropriate personnel. Keeping waiting area organized. Other duties/projects as assigned by the Therapy Supervisor and Director.
Minimum Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Current Medical receptionist role of at least two years required, or a combination of experience and education.
- Effective written and verbal communications skills.
- Proficient on computer system and associated software.
- Excellent organization skills.
- Excellent phone etiquette.
