Engineer II
Status/FTE: FT / 0.8-1.0 FTE
Shift length: 8 hours
Start Time: Variable
Unit: Plant Ops
Schedule Requirements (including weekends, holidays: Possible weekends or holidays.
Operates, repairs, and maintains stationary equipment including boilers, generators, and refrigeration in buildings, plants or industrial facilities. Has the ability to troubleshoot, test and maintain mechanical and HVAC systems and familiarity with local codes. Ensures that equipment is operating safely and within established limits. Conducts monitoring and failure analysis of meters, gauges and controls to determine the need for repair or replacement of parts. Performs preventative maintenance and documents completed procedures.
Minimum Required:
- Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent.
- One to four (1 to 4) years of related work experience.
- Self-Starter that works well in a team-building environment.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Mechanically inclined with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must obtain 3rd Class Boilers License and HazMat Certification within 6 months by incumbent employees.
- Skilled trade background with a valid Boiler, HVAC or Plumbing license.
Preferred:
- 4 Years of Commercial HVAC installation
- Familiarity with county installation codes
- Ability to work with computers and building automation.
- 3rd Class Boilers License
