What you’ll do:
The AVP Operations, Medical Group Services is responsible for the effective operations of employed physicians at as-signed facilities, collaborating with Division Leadership and individual facility leadership, while partnering with Physician Service Market Director teams on implementing strategy and initiatives for practice operations and growth.
Responsibilities:
Provide leadership and coaching to Market Directors, ensuring the effective management of day-to-day operations of employed physicians, ensuring standards of communication and information are met, advise leaders on matters pertaining to physician needs and strategy.
Supervise the work of others, including planning, assigning and scheduling work, reviewing work and ensuring quality standards, training staff and overseeing productivity. May offer recommendations for hiring, termination and pay adjustments, but do not have final responsibility for making these decisions.
Identify, communicate, and report on operational challenges and opportunities. Develop operational improvement programs and conduct on-site practice visits to support the Physician Services’ strategic direction; maintain relationships with the Market Director teams, hospital leadership and HSC leadership.
Monitor physician practices for efficiencies and effectiveness to reduce practice investments to include, but not limited to, revenue cycle optimization, provider productivity, and provider accessibility.
Monthly operating report (MOR) preparation, participation and oversight.
Oversee and ensure effective on-boarding of all new providers. Monitor practice start-ups to aid in building existing practice revenue through provider accessibility, marketing, and outreach.
Monitor financial performance for all employed providers and practices in assigned markets and collaborate with Market Directors and other practice leaders to ensure fiscal responsibility and adherence to annual practice budgets.
Lead the activities and provide development opportunities to those in the Market Director through weekly development calls, identifying education and training opportunities and resources as appropriate.
Identify, oversee and coordinate with local physician services team on priority opportunities in provider productivity optimization.
Oversee impactful focus on strategic priorities. Monitor key performance metrics and work with RCM optimization team to assure/oversee necessary work plans.

Qualifications
What you’ll need:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree. Master’s Degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 7 years in medical practice management or similar healthcare setting, with specific leadership experience.
Certifications: Certified Medical Practice Executive (CMPE) or FACMPE is preferred.
