What you’ll do:
Business Data Analyst Clinical Operations will be responsible for supporting the data and reporting needs of the Clinical Operations Department at LifePoint Health’s Hospital Support Center (HSC) in Brentwood, Tennessee. This role is vital for ensuring that reported data is reliable, such that individuals using the data to make informed decisions trust that the information is credible.
Responsibilities:
- Perform statistical analyses on hospital data and summarize results meaningfully for consumption by a broad and diverse audience
- Understand data sources and recognize changes in data trends
- Identify opportunities for improvement through data trend monitoring
- Monitor, identify, and manage the resolution of data quality issues (data stewardship), working closely with the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) team
- Gather, analyze, and organize workforce and program utilization data from multiple sources into meaningful audience-specific reports and presentations
- Respond in a timely manner to ad hoc reporting requests from organizational leadership
- Support Clinical Operations Department members in their activities to understand the impact of intervention activities
- Ensure that data management methodologies include the steps, activities, and deliverables required to consistently achieve high data quality
- Work with HSC & hospital leadership to answer questions, conduct root cause analysis for data anomalies, and refine explanations to different levels of targeted audiences
- Work collaboratively with the EDW team in the creation and maintenance of automated reporting systems, dashboards, and reports
- Perform other tasks as required
What you’ll need:
Experience:
- Proficient and experienced with statistical analyses
- At least three years’ professional work experience (preferably in an analytics role)
- Strong skills with Microsoft Excel (including formulas, graphing, pivot tables, and conditional formatting)
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), with the ability to tailor messages to many different audiences
- Project management experience is preferred
- Customer-service mentality; be able to use tact, judgement, and diplomacy
- Self-motivated, capable of handling various tasks simultaneously (with interruptions)
- Willing to tackle challenges and be open to learning
- Must be willing and capable at checking for errors in personal work product
