What you’ll do :
To serve as subject matter expert (SME) relating to cardiovascular registries, to perform clinical auditing of data abstraction of patient records, to perform analytics of registry performance, and to provide recommendations and training to improve registry and quality performance. In collaboration with the Director of Cardiovascular Services, the Quality Improvement Specialist (QIS) is responsible for developing reports, auditing and reporting data related to the Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS) Adult Cardiac Surgery Database and the National Cardiovascular Registry (NCDR) various registries. Other registries and audit functions may be included as well. The QIS will perform drill down analysis on all registry outliers across the Lifepoint Health system and identify outlier performance. Based on findings, the QIS will work with the Director of Cardiovascular Services to develop plans for remediation and training for markets to deploy.

- Communication with facilities to obtain and review all necessary documentation.
