This position provides delivery of patient care with a smooth transition from academic nurse to professional Registered Nurse (RN). Must demonstrate the clinical ability to work as Primary RN on the Unit to which assigned. Must be able to coordinate the delivery of patient care on the Unit; completes required documentation; participates inpatient / family teaching and discharge planning, effectively utilizing the Nursing Process.Minimum EducationRecent graduate from an RN program at an accredited School of Nursing. Must be scheduled to take the NCLEX and eligible for licensing as an RN in Kentucky.Required SkillsRequires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
