Description
Customers served (external and internal): all participants, any member of the LifeROOTS Team, board members, all vendors, suppliers and any other members of the public.
Role Summary: Inspects custodial service processes, including identifying, documenting and reporting deficiencies to responsible parties.
Principal Accountabilities: (essential job functions):
- Inspects buildings and produces reports in accordance with the Quality Control Plan.
- Conducts random inspections of buildings serviced by the cleaning crew as close to completion of work as possible.
- Evaluates data and writes reports to validate or indicate deviations from standards set forth in the Performance Work Statement.
- Uses a web-based system to document inspections, deficiencies and follow up by task and facility and forwards inspection reports to the Director of Quality Assurance.
- Maintains inspection sheets and work orders, looks at trends based on historical data and recommends corrective action.
- Aggregates, analyzes and reports inspection results as a process for improving performance or identifing patterns and correcting deficiencies.
- Works closely, but independently, with the project manager to correct deficiencies and improve processes.
- Verifies that custodial employees working on the contact have appropriate clearances.
- Maintains liaison with KAFB Quality Assurance Personnel.
- Evaluates and interprets data using statistical methods.
- Applies knowledge of Quality Management Systems, such as ISO 9000, Six Sigma and others.
- Attends scheduled meetings with KAFB contracting personnel as required.
- Recommends modifications to existing quality standards to achieve optimum quality.
- Complies with applicable LifeROOTS policies and procedures and contractual requirements.
- Administers customer satisfaction surveys and uses results for promoting efficiency and effectiveness of processes.
- Observes time studies of custodian’s productivity and reports on whether the worker has had an opportunity to become familiar with the job or at a time when the worker is fatigued or subject to conditions that result in less than normal productivity.
- Exercises personnel authority with respect to employment, training, salary charges, performance appraisals and termination of assigned staff members.
- Participates in the Quality Assurance Program and ensures all department-applicable quality improvement requirements are fulfilled.
- Participates in the company’s financial management and ensures that all department - applicable fiscal responsibilities are fulfilled.
- Participates in the company’s Health and Safety program and ensures that all department- applicable safety requirements are fulfilled.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by the Director of Quality Assurance.
Requirements
Education, Essential Skills and Experience:
- Associate degree in Quality Engineering or at least three years of demonstrable experience in Quality Control in the Custodial Services Industry or related field.
- Must possess mathematical skills and familiarity with basic statistical concepts.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and/or Access.
- Ability to communicate (verbally and written) in a concise, accurate, timely and professional manner.
- Participates in continuing educational programs related to Quality Assurance, per licensing requirements.
- Has a fundamental understanding of LifeROOTS, Inc. policies.

Conditions of Employment:
