The Billing & Reimbursement Specialist position processes third party claim submissions and follows-up on accounts regarding billing. This position provides support to the overall operations within the Billing Department to ensure that timely billing and collections for services are completed.
Here are some of the job duties that come with this position:
- Sending claims to insurance companies to collect payments
- Coding different accounts
- Receiving payments from patients
- Sending monthly statements
- Working on monthly reports to ensure payments are collected
- Handling insurance denials

Requirements
Education and Experience
A High School degree/GED is required. Any post-secondary accounting education or prior insurance billing and reimbursement experience is preferred.
