What are the responsibilities and job description for the Surge Team Member position at LifeScience Logistics - rebrand?
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Required to work one 4 hour shift during each Surge week once per month as scheduled in advance (M-F, 7:00 am-11:00 am or 11:30 am-3:30 pm).
- May pick up one additional shift throughout the Surge week for a total of 8 hours each Surge drill. Shifts must be worked on two separate days during the Surge week unless authorized by management.
- Respond to Routine Activation Drills in the required time frame.
- May assist in the Receipt of incoming product while working with LSL part time warehouse personnel or supervision.
- May assist in the picking of product while working with LSL part time warehouse personnel or supervision.
- Inform supervisor of any product issues
- Load product onto trailers as directed by Supervisor
- Operate Company warehouse equipment (if LSL certified) in a safe and reliable manner.
- Report all equipment failures to supervisor
- Ensure warehouse cleanliness is maintained to cGMP and LSL standards
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB SPECIFICATIONS
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalency required
TECHNICAL EXPERTISE
- Basic Microsoft Office skills: Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint
- Experience with warehouse or supply chain environments and transportation is a plus
- Experience utilizing RF Guns/Scanners is a plus
ADDITIONAL EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to successfully pass all preliminary employment requirements (i.e., drug screen and background check)
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Adhere to strict appearance and uniform guidelines
PHYSICAL/MENTAL/VISUAL DEMANDS
- Must be able to safely lift 50 lbs. occasionally
- Must be able to bend / stoop to complete tasks
- Must be able to remain on your feet for prolonged periods of time
- Forklift operation requires the ability to hear warehouse activity
- Must be able to read at a distance, close to the eyes, and at arm’s length with or without correction. Forklift operation requires distance vision
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Activities occur both inside (protected from weather conditions but not temperature changes) and outside.
- Employee is subjected to extreme cold during freezer work. LSL provides PPE to ensure employee safety.
- Hazardous conditions may exist, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical current, and working in high places.
EQUIPMENT OPERATED
- Equipment: Material Handling Equipment (Upon receipt of LSL certification).
- Systems: RF scan guns and RF devices.
