We are looking for a great Kitchen Lead to join our team. We make natural and organic products from scratch. The Kitchen Lead is responsible for oversight, preparation, and leading production of food items that meet our product standards.
Schedule:
Fri-Tues 11:30am - 8:00pm
Starting pay: 34,944/yr
We are looking for someone who has:
- High School diploma or GED.
- 2 years of experience as a prep cook/cook working in a commercial kitchen.
- A current Oregon food handler's card or ServSafe certification.
- Excellent skills in leading others
- Able to organize, and use appropriate cooking techniques to ensure quality products are made.
- Use accurate kitchen math and measurements to adjust quantities of recipes.
- Accurately cost out and price items.
- High cleanliness standards.
- Must be very detail-oriented, efficient, able to multi-task, prioritize, and delegate.
- Great work ethic, consistently on time and on shift when scheduled.
- Ability to use stoves, ovens, food processors, and other common kitchen tools, label printers, computer.
- Must have excellent communication and collaborative skills.
- Self-starter and self-manager
- Excellent knife handling skills.
- Can stand for entire shift, lift and carry items up to 30 pounds frequently, and 50 pounds occasionally.
