Job Title: NC Pre-K Teacher

What youll do:
- Utilize the teaching strategies and center curriculum
- Develop individual goals for students
- Utilize goals to plan and implement activities
- Conduct and attend IEP or IFSP meetings as required
- Perform various routine procedures such as positioning, diapering and feeding
- Conduct home visits as needed
- Support inclusion and integration.
- Mentor children to help build social skills and relationships.
- Complete initial and ongoing training, and participate in staff development activities.

In addition, you may be required to:
- Administer medications. Training is provided.
What you need:
- Pass DCDEE criminal record and healthcare registry check
- Pass Drug Screen
- Pass driving record check if providing transportation
- Bachelors Degree in Education or Special Education and the appropriate B-K license
- Degree in related field such as Psychology, Child Development, Social Work, Speech Language Impaired, Counselor and Sociology will be considered for lateral entry in pursuit of teaching license.
- Commitment to achieve competency in required knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Note: Current First Aid/CPR blended or classroom certification is required. If you do not currently have certification from an approved provider, our American Red Cross certified instructors will provide you the training.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds independently (per policy)
