The Therapy Place is seeking for a compromise, compassionate and a team player Occupational Therapist to be part of our Great, Fun and Amazing Family.
As a therapist your mission is provides services to pediatric patients affected by developmental, physical, emotional or social disabilities and helps them achieve maximum independence.
Your responsibilities are;
- Conduct patient assessments and evaluations to determine their physical condition, limitations, medical histories and personal goals.
- Communicate with physicians and other health care providers to confirm plans of care.
- Advise family members and other supportive individuals about the level of care the patient needs.
- Provide occupational therapy guidance, support and education during patient sessions.
- Teach patients how to interact with adaptive technology.
- Show patients how to use assistive devices.
- Assist patients with purchasing products to help them achieve their goals.
- Guide patients through graded activities.
- Generate reports for patients and their physicians and families.
- Write and close treatments notes within 24 hour time frame period.
- Write and close Evaluation/re-evaluations note within less than 5 days.
- Keep the office, treatment room, common areas (break room) and equipment clean, disinfect and in good order.
- Actively be part of the activities at the community and at The Therapy Place.
- Other duties as assigned.
