Description
We are seeking an agile Healthcare Billing Analyst to be based out of our Union, NJ office, with the option of a hybrid work schedule. The Healthcare Billing Analyst is responsible for helping LifeStation’s Finance Team accurately process claims. This role will focus on the healthcare revenue cycle, support business development activities, partner with Medicare Operations and Account Management teams, and work with a wide variety of clients to deliver professional services. In this position, you will design, implement, and enforce policies and procedures related to customer billing as well as drive efficiency and quality assurance improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Support our B2B billing operations by cycling invoices, processing claims and posting payments
- Enforce billing policies and terms as per contractual agreements
- Troubleshoot denied claims and manage the appeals process
- Monitor for timely and accurate completion of billing data elements
- Monitor government and healthcare billing portals to ensure claims are processed in a timely manner
- Take part in the partner onboarding process and ensure all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are captured from a billing operations perspective
- Assist with designing, documenting, and testing new processes (both manual and automated) which create efficiencies, reduce cost, support new products & services, or strengthen financial controls

- Analyzing and problem-solving systemic issues within our financial system and secure partner portals
Requirements
- 3 years of billing operations/processing experience
- Medical billing experience required
- Medicare & Medicaid reimbursement rules and regulations preferred but not required
- Proven track record in identifying the root cause of issues and recommending the proper steps to solve
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Advanced skill level in Microsoft Office including knowledge of Pivot Tables, Data Analysis, and Lookup/Reference functions in Excel
- Bachelor’s degree required
