Child Care Staff - Part Time - Monday to Friday

Lifesteps is hiring Child Care Staff for the Butler, PA early education center.

Lifesteps is a non-profit, human services organization which has been serving Western Pennsylvania for over 100 years by "helping individuals and families with life's changing needs". The Agency provides programs and services to help children of all abilities with their early care and education needs.

Lifesteps is immediately hiring a part-time Child Care Staff :

• Work Monday through Friday, 9:15 am to 2:45 pm. No Evenings, No Weekends, No Holidays.
• Job duties include the care and supervision of children, ages 6 weeks to 5 years, in the daycare and preschool rooms
• Assist with lesson planning, supervise children's playtime, provide a nurturing environment

Qualifications

Required

• High School Diploma/GED and two years of experience working with children - can be paid or unpaid work such as Summer Camps, Church Nursery, Babysitting, Bible School, Volunteering with children, etc.
• Ability to lift or move up to 30 pounds without assistance
• Ability to provide acceptable state clearances
• Able to multi-task and work in a team environment.
  
  

Preferred

• Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, Elementary Education, Criminology, Sociology, Movement Therapy, Dance Therapy, Psychology, or Human Services field
• Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, Elementary Education, Criminology, Sociology, Movement Therapy, Dance Therapy, Psychology, or Human Services field
