Lifesteps, a local, non-profit agency in Beaver, PA is currently seeking a full-time (10 month) Preschool Teacher to lead the Lifesteps Pre-K Counts classroom inside the Dutch Ridge Elementary school.

The full-time Pre-K Counts Teacher will work Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, to prepare children for kindergarten.

This preschool teacher position will instruct students, develop lesson plans, create meaningful activities, and interact the the child's parent/guardians. The Preschool Teacher is responsible for providing a quality-driven, developmentally-appropriate early education experience that supports all children regardless of their diverse abilities, and their families.

The Pre-K Counts Teacher functions as a Group Supervisor per DHS Licensing and monitors and directs the activities of child care assistants, aides, volunteers, and TSS staff within the classroom.

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education AND
• Pennsylvania Early Childhood Education (ECE) Instructional Certification (Level I or Level II).
• One year of teaching experience in an integrated classroom preferred.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
• Able to multi-task, work in a team environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

• Valid Driver’s License and ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Acceptable PA Criminal, PA Child Abuse, and FBI Dept of Human Services Clearances required
