Lifesteps, a non-profit, human service agency based in Butler, PA is currently hiring a Community Homes Program Director to oversee Residential Client Homes for the Butler, East Butler, and Fenelton, PA areas. This position will supervise 4 to 5 Community Homes which provide direct care services to special needs adults who have intellectual and / or developmental disabilities.
As a primary, leadership role within the organization, the Program Director ensures that participants receive a high level of quality care and are treated with respect and dignity. The role advocates for the IDD individuals to support their person-centered care and healthy outcomes. The Director will oversee the development and implementation of Individual Support Plans (ISPs), Individual Social / Emotional / Environmental Plans, Behavior Plans, and Restrictive Plans.
Program Directors are responsible for oversight of frontline Supervisors and some direct care staff. They administer performance reviews, disciplinary actions, create work schedules, assist with training new staff, report on monthly metrics, and are a member of the Agency Communication Team.
This full-time position works Monday through Friday, daylight hours, with on-call duties.
Qualifications :
An Associate's Degree and 6 years of experience working directly with persons with disabilities, the elderly, or children and youth and 4 years of Director-level supervisory experience required, OR
A Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of experience working directly with persons with disabilities, the elderly, or children and youth and 2 years of Director-level experience required, OR
A Master's Degree and 1 year of experience working directly with persons with disabilities, the elderly, or children and youth and 1 year of Director-level experience required.
- Preferred majors are : Human Services, Special Education, Psychology, Family Relations, Health Administration, Social Services, Counseling, or similar. However, any major would qualify.
Valid Driver's License, Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. without assistance, and acceptable clearances required.
Must become a PA Certified Investigator as certified by the Office of Developmental Programs (ODP) and obtain Medication Administration Certification within 6 months of hire. Lifesteps will provide additional information about these classes.
