Located in Central Florida, LifeStream primarily serves the residents of Lake, Citrus and Sumter Counties, with additional programs located in Orange, Marion, Hernando counties.
HOUSEKEEPING SPECIALIST (Shift 1) - Building Services
JOB SUMMARY: The Housekeeping Specialist is responsible for work as assigned within the Housekeeping Department to perform routine manual tasks in maintaining the cleanliness, sanitary conditions, and appearance of facilities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The ability to comply with the regulations requiring a workplace of dignity and respect and equal employment opportunity compliance.
- The ability to work collaboratively with others and to accept constructive criticism from supervisors and managers.
- Willingness to abide by the company’s published rules and regulations
- Primary responsibility is for the use of proper methods and materials in cleaning and otherwise caring for buildings and equipment
- Cleans bathrooms, offices, hallways, and any other assigned areas by sweeping mopping, scrubbing and polishing
- Empties and decontaminates trash containers
- Disposes of infectious waste when assigned
- Moves, rearranges, and dusts furniture and fixtures
- Mixes or blends routine cleaning solutions to proper concentrations as necessary for various tasks
- Cleans and waxes floors using industrial-size mopes and/or machines
- Strips and polishes floors using buffing machines
- Washes blinds, windows, and walls with prescribed solutions
- Sweeps sidewalks, porches, and tiled surfaces
- Operates wet/dry vacuum for cleaning and shampooing carpeted areas
- Maintains equipment; reports needs for painting and minor building or equipment repair to supervisor
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Education: High School diploma preferred.
- Experience: Preferred, but not required.
- Driving Requirements:
- Must be Over the age of 21 required
- Minimum of 5-years driving experience required
- Possess a Valid FL Driver’s license (within 30 days of hire if currently do not possess)
- Possess a continuously valid US Driver’s license for the past three years, from date of issue required
- Safe Driving record required
TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT: Completes all requirements according to Individual Training Plan within the first six months of hire and annually. Other training and/or professional trainings/ certifications. Level II Background Clearance
