Position: Business Intelligence Analyst

Position Reports to: Chief Growth Officer & Chief Data Officer

Department: Data

Location: New York, US

Start Date: ASAP

The salary range for this role, based in New York is $75,000 to $95,000

We take into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Collection and Cleaning:

• Extracting data from various sources like CRM systems, databases, and external market data, ensuring data quality through cleaning and transformation processes.

Data Analysis:

• Utilizing statistical methods and data analysis tools to identify trends, patterns, and correlations within the data.

Reporting and Visualization:

• Building interactive dashboards and reports using data visualization tools to present insights in a clear and accessible manner for decision-making.

KPI Monitoring:

• Tracking key performance indicators to monitor business performance and identify areas for improvement.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

• Working closely with different business teams to understand their data needs and translate complex analysis into actionable insights.

Data Governance:

• Ensuring data integrity and compliance with data privacy regulations and company policies.

Required Skills:

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau, Power BI), programming languages (Python, R), data warehousing concepts, and database management. Power BI, SQL, and Snowflake experience are strongly preferred

Analytical Skills:

• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical abilities to interpret data and draw meaningful conclusions.

Communication Skills:

• Effectively communicating complex data insights to both technical and non-technical audiences through presentations and reports.

Business Acumen:

• Understanding business operations, key metrics, and how data can impact business strategies.

Collaboration Skills:

• Working effectively with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver actionable insights.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field like computer science, statistics, business analytics, or mathematics.
• Experience with data analysis, reporting, and data visualization tools.
• Familiarity with retail and/or CPG data and business processes.
