Job Title: Direct Support Professional
Location: Leroy, Brockport, Hamlin, Hilton & surrounding areas
Shifts: Mornings, Afternoons, Overnights & Weekends
Position Type: Full-time & Part-time
Position Overview: Lifetime Assistance, Inc. is seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals (DSPs). As a DSP, you will play a pivotal role in supporting individuals with disabilities to live meaningful and fulfilling lives. Care and Support:
-Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication administration.
-Provide emotional support, companionship, and encouragement to promote independence.
-Foster a safe and inclusive environment that respects the dignity and rights of each individual.
Communication and Documentation:
-Maintain clear and open communication with clients, their families, and the interdisciplinary team.
-Document client progress, health records, and incidents accurately and in a timely manner.
-Report any changes in client behavior or health to the appropriate supervisors.
Community Engagement:
-Plan and engage individuals in community-based activities, outings, and social events.
-Encourage participation in vocational and recreational opportunities to enhance social skills and community integration.
Training and Development:
-Attend mandatory training sessions and stay updated on best practices in the field of developmental disabilities.
-Seek opportunities for professional growth and skill development.
Qualifications:
-High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
-Previous experience in caregiving, healthcare, or a related field is a plus.
-Compassion, patience, and a strong desire to make a positive impact on individuals' lives.
-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
-Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
-Basic computer skills for documentation purposes.
-CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
