Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Job Coach to work closely with developmentally disabled adults in their workplace environments. The primary responsibilities include assisting individuals in their daily job tasks, providing transportation to and from work, and ensuring a supportive and inclusive work experience.
Workplace Support:
Provide on-the-job coaching to developmentally disabled adults, helping them understand and perform job tasks effectively. Offer guidance and encouragement to
ensure they meet job expectations and develop skills.
Transportation: Safely pick up and drop off individuals from their homes to their work sites and vice versa. Ensure timely and reliable transportation while maintaining a positive and supportive
attitude.
Skill Development:
Assist individuals in acquiring and improving job-related skills, including
communication, organization, and task management. Offer feedback and implement strategies to enhance their work performance.
Communication:
Act as a liaison between the employee, employer, and family members to
address any concerns and ensure smooth communication. Report progress and any issues to relevant parties.
Crisis Management:
Monitor for any issues or emergencies at the workplace and respond
appropriately. Administer first aid and CPR if needed and follow organizational protocols for reporting incidents.
Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate records of work performance, attendance, and any
incidents. Document progress and update personal files as required.
Compliance:
Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures, including those related to
safety, confidentiality, and legal compliance.
Education & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience working with
developmentally disabled individuals in a coaching or supportive role preferred.
Certifications:
Valid CPR and First Aid certification required. Certification must be maintained
throughout employment.
Background Check:
Must pass a comprehensive background check conducted by the FBI and
DOJ.
Skills:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part
of a team. Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to support individuals with developmental
disabilities.
Driving:
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Clean driving record.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
