Overview:
Lifetime Energy is a fast growing, quick-paced company with a lot of room for personal growth and development. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Solar Technician to join our team. As a Solar Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing solar energy systems. This is a hands-on role that requires technical expertise and attention to detail. This is a part-time roll, very soon to be full-time.
Responsibilities:
- Install solar panels on rooftops or other structures, following safety guidelines and industry best practices
- Use hand tools and power tools to assemble and secure solar panels and related equipment
- Perform electrical work, including wiring and connecting solar panels to inverters and electrical systems
- Conduct inspections and troubleshoot issues with existing solar energy systems
- Collaborate with team members to plan and execute solar panel installations
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation
- Adhere to National Electrical Code (NEC) regulations and local building codes
- Test and commission solar energy systems to ensure proper functionality
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each project
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Solar Technician or in a related field is preferred but not required
- Ability to plumb, build structures, and install solar panels on various surfaces
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and technical drawings interpretation
- Familiarity with low voltage systems and fixtures installation
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
Location:
- We cover an area all over the Carolinas but the majority of our installs are in the Myrtle Beach and Sumter South Carolina and few up in Asheville in North Carolina.
