Lifetime Products, Inc is hiring a Packaging Engineer who will be responsible for the packaging design of new and existing products. This candidate will be a part of an energetic group of professionals designing packaging for world-class consumer products. Qualified applicants must possess a 4 year Packaging Engineering degree or at least 2 years of packaging design related experience with a good knowledge of the different types of packaging materials. Excellent communication and computer skills are required. Members of this team contribute to a positive atmosphere throughout the area, and employs effective team work and motivational skills that drive continuous improvement. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, Creo (Pro/E) or similar software, and a knowledge of LPDS/D365 would be a plus.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
CAD Management (CREO, LPDS):
- Create CAD and drawings for new packaging components
- Assist in releasing drawings
- Assist in coordinating and sending part drawings and files to vendors
Design verification (SimplePack, LPDS, Word, Excel):
- Create test orders
- Coordinate the following: ordering of product, delivery of product, and packaging of product for verification and testing
Other (LPDS, D365, PowerPoint):
- Contribute in brain-storming meetings
- Review packaging processes, and make suggestions to improve value-stream costs
- Perform packaging project related tasks generated from LPDS
- Find and retrieve answers to questions from other areas relating to Packaging Design
- Analyzing and resolving problem reports generated from other areas
- Enter packaging weights and dimensions into applicable databases
- Other duties as assigned
SKILLS
- Must have good oral/written communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
- Ability to set priorities based on current business and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to coordinate with local and remote team members
- Self starter with drive for results and attention to detail
- Independently complete assignments within established time frames
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Four-year Packaging Engineering degree or 2 years packaging engineering design related experience. Relocation is not offered for this position.
