POSITION SUMMARY:
The paralegal position will have significant responsibility in a fast-paced environment with the corporate legal department. This position will report to the Deputy General Counsel responsible for trademark portfolio management. The paralegal must be motivated, independent, flexible, friendly, focused, and a team player. This role will require excellent organizational skills, time management, and clear precise communication abilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Trademark Protection and UDRP Case Prosecution: Monitor and protect the company's registered trademarks, particularly those appearing in URLs of third parties. Lead and manage the prosecution of UDRP (Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy) cases. This involves preparing and filing complaints, gathering evidence, and coordinating with internal/external counsel as necessary.
- Trademark Portfolio Management: Assist in the management of the company's trademark portfolio. This includes maintaining accurate records, monitoring renewal deadlines, and ensuring compliance with relevant trademark laws and regulations.
- Legal Research and Analysis: Conduct legal research and analysis related to trademark law and domain name disputes, as well as other areas as assigned. Provide recommendations and support to the legal team based on findings.
- General Legal and Administrative Support to Legal Department. Performs all other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Paralegal certificate or paralegal degree preferred.
- Must have prior experience in the legal environment with previous support for corporate counsel or a law firm.
- Must be comfortable in a friendly "smaller firm" environment where everyone does what is needed to support the department.
- Adept at managing and completing several simultaneous projects in a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication; working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 suite of applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Organization and record keeping.
- Attention to detail; ability to work independently.
- Prioritize numerous tasks and complete under time constraints.
- Possess good judgment in making decisions and be creative in solving problems.
- Experience working in a Direct Sales/MLM industry is a plus but not required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to remain in an office at a computer workstation and access information from a computer. The employee is required to be mobile to, from, and within the office. The employee may occasionally move up to 25 pounds.
