POSITION SUMMARY
The IT Support Analyst, Welcome Center, Proto and IT Deskside is responsible for handling the daily maintenance of company Welcome Center and IT computers, reporting to the Manager of IT Services. This will be an office-based role in our Draper, Utah office.
The role involves running LifeWave Welcome Center tours and Proto machines, with IT deskside applications support, therefore good communication skills are vital with the ability to explain solutions and instructions to users in clear, simple terms.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- The primary task for this position is to provide technical support to Welcome Center Tours.
- Additional requirements on training both local and remote use of Proto technology, apply software updates, pack/unpack/setup (Training will be provided for Proto Machines and the systems running LifeWave’s Welcome Center tours).
- Troubleshoot, Catalog and Log, and contact Vendors on Welcome Center issues.
- Execute the activities for a light and sound tour including preprogrammed DMX cues.
- Additional tasks are to provide technical support to employees via phone, email, and remote access tools.
- Provide technical support for PC and Mac users.
- Set up user devices with accounts and register via Intune with various software packages.
- Maintain local networks in ways that maintain and improve performance.
- Provide support to users on the operation of new software and computer equipment.
- Resolve IT issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.
- Good communication skills to provide some support to executives.
- Provide remote support to other global team members.
- Maintain user accounts through Office 365, Intune and MSFT Defender.
- Create, modify, and maintain user permissions following governance guidelines.
- Maintain printer, scanner and conference rooms functionality and liaise with vendors for any further troubleshooting.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to remain in an office at a computer workstation and access information from a computer. The employee may occasionally move up to 25 pounds.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Degree in Computer Science, engineering, or relevant experience
- 5 years’ experience.
- Proven experience as an IT Support Technician, L3 Helpdesk, or relevant position is preferred.
- Working Knowledge Experience with MACs and iPads.
- Mac OS, Office 365, Windows experience essential. Strong digital editing tools.
- Experience with Azure Active Directory (New name EntraID).
- In-depth understanding of diverse computer systems and networks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Good knowledge of Internet security and data privacy principles.
- Preferred Certifications as IT will be an advantage (e.g., CompTIA A , Microsoft Certified).
