What You'll Do
As the Director of Finance, you will:
- Supervise daily accounting functions and manage a dedicated finance team.
- Oversee general accounting, payroll, budgeting, claims, and accounts payable/receivable.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while adhering to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Coordinate budget preparation and prepare financial reports and analyses for the Board of Directors and organizational leadership.
- Lead departmental goals, audits, and policy development to enhance operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide supervision, counseling, and performance evaluations for finance staff.
- Record, post, and process daily transactions, monthly journal entries, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare and analyze grant reporting for agencies like MDHHS and SAMHSA.
- Maintain fixed asset schedules and general ledger reconciliations.
- Assist in preparing budgets, invoices, and financial status reports.
- Develop and implement policies to align with current regulations and best practices.
- Represent the organization professionally at community events and meetings.
- Ensures Accurate and timely processing of payroll, and payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
