Central Michigan 2-1-1 is seeking a Resource Specialist to take the lead in maintaining our vital community resource database. This role is a unique blend of data management, community engagement, and behind-the-scenes impact that truly makes a difference.
What You’ll Do:

Keep our regional community resource database accurate, up-to-date, and organized.

Assign and maintain appropriate AIRS Taxonomy codes to ensure resources are categorized correctly.

Attend local community meetings and networking events to stay in-the-know and bring new resources into the fold.

Act as a key liaison between Central Michigan 2-1-1 and the communities we serve.

Share important updates and changes with our Information & Referral team.

Ensure our work meets national AIRS standards, CARF accreditation requirements, and MDHHS protocols.

Take on additional projects and responsibilities as assigned – every day is a little different!

Experience with AIRS Taxonomy or information & referral services is a plus, but not required—we’re happy to train the right candidate.

Required Education/Certification/Licensure
- Associate’s degree with an emphasis in human services, psychology, sociology, or social service.
- AIRS Certified Database Curator upon employment.
- Mental Health First Aid Training, upon hire.

- Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in human or social services.
