You have a deep understanding of accounting practices, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling, allowing you to provide key insights that drive wise decision-making. About the Job
We are seeking a gospel-centered, results-oriented, and detail-driven Accounting Specialist to join the LifeWise team. This full-time role is integral to our mission as we expand and launch new LifeWise Academy locations nationwide. You will oversee all financial operations, playing a key role in shaping and executing the ministry's financial strategy and planning. This position is based at our headquarters in Hilliard, Ohio, just outside of Columbus.
Responsibilities
- Lead Complex Transactions : Oversee the recording and processing of complex financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Account Reconciliation : Perform detailed reconciliations of general ledger accounts, bank statements, and financial statements to ensure consistency and correctness.
- Financial Reporting : Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring compliance with regulations, standards, and organizational policies.
- Audit Support : Assist in preparing for and facilitating internal and external audits, ensuring all financial documentation is accurate and readily available.
- Process Improvement : Identify and implement improvements in accounting processes and workflows to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Tax Filings & Compliance : Support tax reporting, ensure timely and accurate filings and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
- Financial Data Analysis : Assist in analyzing financial data and reports, providing insights and recommendations to leadership.
- Collaboration with Departments : Work closely with other departments (e.g., HR, operations) to ensure accurate payroll processing, budget monitoring, and accurate allocation of expenses.
