The Resolution Counseling program is dedicated to creating a safe community by ending intimate partner violence and advocating for relationships based on equality and respect. Resolution Counseling offers psycho-educational groups for adults who have been harmful towards their partners. Group goals include taking responsibility for violent and/or abusive behavior, understanding the dynamic of power and control, learning adaptive communication and conflict resolution skills, and managing emotions in non-aggressive ways.
The PRN/Substitute Counselor position with Resolution Counseling is an excellent opportunity to gain and/or grow experience working with underserved populations. You can expect to be working in a dynamic, strategic, innovative, and visionary organization alongside experts in the field and supportive leadership team. This PRN position is without fixed hours; however, we are seeking someone with availability primarily Monday-Thursday, 5:30pm-8:30pm for around 12-15 hours per month. This position earns a competitive pay ranging from $27.16-$29.68 per hour for those with their provisional license. For those with their advanced/full licensure, we offer an hourly rate of $32.98-$35.86 depending upon experience.

Responsibilities
- Provides in-person, curriculum-based psychoeducational group counseling services to individuals who have engaged in intimate partner violence on an as-needed basis.
- Provides crisis intervention and safety planning with clients based on individual client and program needs.
- Maintains timely and accurate documentation of all services in accordance with agency and funder requirements.
- Maintains a working understanding of, and adheres to the guidelines of oversight entities, including the program, agency, licensing, funder and/or accrediting body; adheres TDCI-CIAD BIPP guidelines throughout service delivery, documentation and reporting process.
- Maintains compliance with required training hours in family violence and BIPP facilitation (training provided by agency.
- Provides direct client services in Spanish, and assists in special projects related to the Spanish speaking community.
- Requires a Masters degree in Social Work, Counseling or a related field;
- Holds initial licensure (ex: LMSW, LPC-A, LMFT-A) or is able to obtain within 6 months of hire;
- Requires 6 months direct clinical experience; or
- Equivalent combination of education and experience.
