liftaircraft.com
Overview
This is an opportunity to unlock the exhilarating joy of personal flight for the general public.
LIFT Aircraft has developed a unique 18-rotor electrical-vertical-takeoff-and-landing (eVTOL) manned ultralight aircraft, piloted by one person after about an hour of training.
Our initial market is experiential entertainment, with customer operations launching throughout the U.S. in 2024. We have waitlists of thousands of people who are ready to train and pilot our aircraft and we’re seeking uniquely capable team members to make that happen.
About the role
As a LIFT Flight Instructor, you will train and prepare customers to fly our aircraft. Customers undergo about an hour of ground and flight simulator instruction. You will make a lasting impression on their entire experience as you prepare and evaluate them for flight and are also in constant communication with them, from the ground, as the pilot the aircraft.
As GCSO you, along with a second GCSO, will evaluate the readiness of the aircraft prior to customer flights, and will monitor the status of the aircraft while the customer is flying. You will provide ongoing instruction, feedback, and encouragement as well as safety instruction to the pilots.
This role is as much Camp Counselor/ Coach as it is Instructor and Operator. Qualified candidates must love teaching and interacting with the public, while also possessing the skill and experience required to maintain safe operations and flight practices. Travel will be required (up to 50%) as we initiate our U.S. touring operations.
Qualified candidates will be cross-trained in multiple positions and will be expected to step in and fill roles as needed.
Team members who excel love interacting with the public and making another person’s day. They thrive in a team environment and work cooperatively. Where there is work to be done, they pitch in and help.
