From our beginning in 1964, Lift-All Company has grown to be the biggest and most well-known manufacturer of slings for overhead lifting and load securement products in North America. We operate five manufacturing plants in the US and our products are sold through industrial distributors and contractor supply houses in the US and abroad.
We are looking for an experienced Purchasing Agent, to join our corporate purchasing team to support of purchasing for our five manufacturing plants located in the United States.
Our office is located in Lancaster PA. The hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 to 5:00. This is a non-exempt position, eligible for overtime. This position will work both in the office and remotely. Training will take place both in person and remotely.

Skills and Requirements include:
- 3 to 5 years purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience working in an ERP environment
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
- Strong written and verbal communication with ability to communicate effectively with all levels of internal and external business associates.
- Demonstrated professional demeanor, reliability and integrity
- Independent judgment, analysis and problem-solving skills are required to plan, prioritize, and organize a diverse work load and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to handle interruptions while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Vietnamese and Chinese language is a plus.

Job Title: Corporate Purchasing Agent
Reports To: Corporate Purchasing Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Date: January 2025
SUMMARY: Prepares and enters purchase orders to support plant operations. Monitor purchase orders daily to ensure timely delivery.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Reviews daily purchase order suggestions and determines what items and appropriate quantities should be ordered each day. Solicits quotes for non-stock items and places purchase orders with vendors at best possible price and delivery. Follows purchasing guidelines and enters purchase orders into the system.
2. Verifies PO acknowledgements for item, quantity, price and delivery. Follows up with vendors to resolves differences.
3. Reviews and updates PO statuses and expected ship dates daily. Work directly with vendors to expedite orders for best possible delivery time. Notify internal personnel of material schedule delays by contacting plant or CSAs as needed.
4. Codes invoices for approval as needed and forwards to Accounts Payable for payment.
5. Researches and resolves quality and quantity discrepancies with the plant and vendor.
6. Obtains and processes returned good authorizations from vendors. Works with the Purchasing Specialist to process Defective Material Review’s (DMR's) and non-conformance. Follows the DMR through the process with engineering if needed. Forwards credit information to Accounts Payable.
7. Reviews high priority material needs with plant manager and scheduler to determine best course of action (e.g. move the sales order to another plant, enter a transfer order or issue a PO for material).
8. Participates in review of corporate inventory reports and recommends changes to minimum and maximum quantities. Identifies and works to manage slow and fast moving items based on prior usage and anticipated future order requirements.
9. Works with the plant and customer service to quote specials needed for customer repairs.
10. Processes credit approval applications for new vendors.
11. Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Associates degree from two-year college or Trade School; and 5 to 7 years related experience and/or training. Three years of related work experience equates to one year of formal accredited education. Working knowledge of office equipment and computers for keyboarding, data entry and retrieval of information, including Microsoft office software (Word, Excel, etc.). Experience with MRP or ERP preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to listen and understand others, explain and convey information to others verbally and in writing. Ability to read and interpret documents. Ability to negotiate best vendor terms, pricing and delivery based on company policies and production needs.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in units or measurements using whole numbers, fractions and decimals; also converting to or from metric as necessary.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to work in an environment with frequent interruptions. Able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where standardization in procedures exists.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and depth perception.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate when working in the office and elevated when in the plant. While working in the plant use of PPEs are required.
