Accountant

JOB SUMMARY:

Snap Fitness Corporate in Chanhassen is currently looking for a talented Accountant to join their team. The company boasts a high energy team-oriented culture. The Accountant position will be responsible for a wide variety of recurring accounting functions including but not limited to: financial statement preparation, general ledger journal entries, expense reporting, account reconciliations, financial analysis, purchasing and inventory support, and more.

This position will be a key contributor on the corporate accounting team and the ongoing success of the business

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

• Interpret and analyze operating results and communicate results to management.
• Provide support to internal customers as needs arise, including ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects.
• Prepare and process monthly accounting entries based on US GAAP.
• Identify, research, understand and document causes of account variances to budget and forecast.
• Analyze large volumes of data using worksheet and database skills to manipulate and summarize data into meaningful information for decision making.
• Identify, research, and develop accounting for US GAAP for international entities and their subsidiaries.
• Support the annual audit with the preparation of audit workpapers and will work closely with external auditors.
• Perform and/or review GL account reconciliations and resolve any accounting discrepancies and irregularities in accordance with corporate policy.
• Assist in the development and documentation of business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
• Recommend for process improvement, as needed.

COMPETENCY: Knowledge, skills and abilities

• The Accountant will have Experience in GAAP and internal controls.
• International business experience with foreign currency exposure a plus.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office products with advanced knowledge of Excel. Experience with Navision or Business Central a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited University required.
• CPA beneficial but not required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited University required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 per year
