Lift For Life Academy is looking for a High School Dance Coach who is energetic and passionate. This position is responsible for choosing new members, creating choreographies, organizing practice sessions, monitoring each dancer, recommending safe techniques, and supervising warm-ups. A dance coach leads a team by guiding them through training and performances. This can involve leading conditioning and strength training exercises, teaching dancers choreography for routines, and observing teams during practices and performances at different sporting venues. The Dance coach provides direction to student-athletes so that they can achieve a high level of skill as well as an appreciation for discipline, sportsmanship, and teamwork in Dance. We need a leader who has a passion for the sport to reach our goal for each student-athlete to achieve strong self-esteem and high personal expectations.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging dance curricula for high school students, ensuring alignment with educational standards.
- Teach dance techniques and choreography in a structured environment, fostering creativity and skill development.
- Manage classroom dynamics effectively, promoting a positive learning atmosphere.
- Organize and oversee dance performances, ensuring all logistical aspects are handled smoothly.
- Collaborate with parents and staff to enhance student learning experiences.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in teaching and instructing dance to various age groups
- Strong skills in curriculum development tailored to different skill levels
- Effective classroom management and tutoring abilities
- Experience working with children and adults in educational settings
