Lift For Life Academy High School is seeking a dynamic, innovative, and highly energized school leader for the position of Principal for the 2025-2026 school year. The high school is located in Soulard (just south of downtown Saint Louis) and enrollment is approximately 350 students in grades 9-12. The school is focused on academic achievement and growth and has a strong record of high performance. The high school enjoys and benefits from supportive parents, families, and the community at large. This support includes opportunities to extend learning beyond the traditional classroom and special programs directed toward the individual needs of students. The culture and mission of the school are grounded in the core principles of doing whatever it takes to Educate, Empower, and Uplift our students.

Start Date and Salary:

This position is scheduled to begin July 1, 2025, with a projected salary range of $95,000-$110,000. Salary considerations include, but are not limited to education level, administrative experience, special credentials, and more. Qualifications:

A successful candidate will have at minimum a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership/School Administration and have or demonstrate eligibility for high school principal certification in Missouri. Candidates should also be able to document at least 3-years of successful teaching experience with school-level supervisory experience preferred.

  • Understand and able to implement effective management practices and principles, including the supervision and evaluation of staff.

Skills and qualities that may distinguish candidates:

  • Administrative/supervisory experience in a school setting, especially high school.
  • Strong data tracking and evaluation skills using various technologies.
  • Understands principles associated with Multi-Tiered Systems of Support culturally responsive teaching and learning, and Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports.
  • Special training, credentials, or successful experiences with improving literacy at the secondary level.
  • Understanding and experiences with a school culture that includes students from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Responsibilities

  • Develops, implements, and monitors the Academy’s CSIP/Building Improvement Plan, including supporting teacher growth and development.
  • Work with school and district-level leaders to achieve continuous improvement
  • Engage with curriculum and assessment to ensure that student learning objectives are clear, appropriate, and measured.
  • Ensure the school’s culture is a safe and positive place for teaching and learning by being a proactive and responsive leader.
  • Ensure teacher/team alignment with school policies, procedures, and instructional practices.
  • Supervise and evaluate instructional staff based on the principles of growth and continuous improvement.
  • Accurately report and monitor school-level data, including student attendance, grades, transcripts, assessment participation and results, student learning and career plans, and post-secondary placement.
