Description:
Perform repair and maintenance work on mechanical and electrical equipment. Analyze and recommend solutions for customer equipment problems and breakdowns. Communicate with customers in a timely and professional manner and conduct all work with efficiency to contribute to the reputation, growth, and profit of Lift Power Inc. Retain the ability to work on multiple primary duties at any given time.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Repair and maintain lift trucks batteries and other equipment
- Analyze and diagnose customer equipment problems and breakdowns
- Recommend correct service and repair actions to resolve equipment performance problems
- Repair or modify equipment to solve performance problems as dictated by equipment analysis
- Perform scheduled battery and charger equipment maintenance per customer contracts
- Document all service calls
- Communicate with Service Department and Manager regarding:
- Clarification of job assignments
- Additional repair needs
- Part requirements
- Unexpected service delays
- Follow all company policy
- Secure and maintain service and parts inventory in company service vehicle
- Provide and maintain personal tools required to effectively perform equipment service duties
- Attend all required service and training meetings and seminars provided by the company
- Battery watering
- Battery PM (Checking cables, connectors, contact tips, electrolyte levels, specific gravities, cell voltage, covers, intercell connectors
- Charger PM (verifying output, checking cables, connectors, contact tip, electrical connections, blowing out chargers)
- Lead burning
- Replacing battery cables and connectors
- Load testing batteries and identifying issues
- Cell replacement
- Minor charger repairs (cables, connectors, fuses)
- How to safely remove and install batteries in lifts
- How to use a spill kit in case of spill
- Set AC voltage on chargers
- Connect laptop to charger and set charger up for customers Specs
- Maintaining rental fleet
- Accept other duties and responsibilities as assigned
