We are hiring a Director of Sales in the Midwest to join the team.

The Director of Sales will drive revenue growth and market expansion for our overhead crane service company. This role will oversee the sales team, develop and execute sales strategies, and build strong relationships with customers.

Responsibilities

  • Sales Team Leadership :

Recruit, hire, train, and manage a high-performing sales team.

  • Provide ongoing coaching, mentorship, and development opportunities.
  • Set sales goals and quotas for the team and track performance.
  • Sales Strategy Development :
  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies aligned with the company's overall business objectives.

  • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and target markets.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to stay ahead of industry developments.
  • Customer Relationship Management :
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers.

  • Proactively identify customer needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing to maximize revenue and profitability.
  • Sales Team Performance :
  • Monitor sales team performance and identify areas for improvement.

  • Develop and implement sales training programs to enhance team skills.
  • Analyze sales data to track progress and identify trends.
  • Business Development :
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, cold calling, and other sales techniques.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with industry influencers and decision-makers.
  • Represent the company at industry events and conferences.
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, sales, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales management, preferably in the industrial or manufacturing sector.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Proficient in salesforce automation tools and CRM systems.
  • Deep understanding of the overhead crane industry and its specific challenges.
  • Desired Skills

  • Experience in selling service contracts and maintenance agreements.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards related to overhead cranes.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with key industry players.
