Full Job Description
Greeting families and patients in friendly and professional matter. Scheduling, confirming appointments, and submitting prior authorizations for multi-disciplinary rehab services. Candidate will be responsible for submitting GA Medicaid and Care Management Organization (CMO) authorizations using the GAMMIS portal. Candidate will use Clinic Source EMR computer software, according to Lifting Spirits Therapy Services (LSTS) policies and procedures. Direct communication with various therapists and administrative team members.
Bilingual English/Spanish fluent skills required.
Qualifications
- High school or equivalent (Preferred
- Medical office: 1 year (Preferred)
- Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
Detailed Duties and Responsibilities:
- Front office administrative duties
- Submitting all GA Medicaid, CMO, and Private Insurance Prior Authorizations and required documentation.
- Answering all Prior Authorization calls from Insurance Reviewers and communicating directly with Clinical Director and therapists.
- Answers incoming calls and directs calls to appropriate staff as needed.
- Schedules patient appointments as needed per patient needs i.e. reason for call, urgency of call, requested provider, available time slots, etc.
- Uses EMR software to search for patient record to verify if new or current patient, has previous or future appointments.
- Reviews patient’s health history to ensure appointment is scheduled with appropriate criteria.
- For new patients, requests basic information such as name, address, phone, health insurance provider, etc. and enters into EMR.
- Provides scheduling coverage for satellite offices when necessary.
- Assists outside medical offices when they call with questions regarding Medical Orders or Referrals.
- Reschedules patient appointments if necessary.
- Provides excellent customer service to all patients in order to meet the needs of our community.
- Works cooperatively with Office Staff, Clinical Director, and Providers to schedule and re-schedule appointments as needed.

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
