Part-Time Social Media Strategist with Graphic Design Skills
Contract to Hire Option, 15 hrs / week
Position Overview : We are seeking a talented and versatile Social Media Strategist to join our team on a part-time, contract basis. This role will support our key clients’ social media needs, creating impactful strategies and executing engaging content across multiple platforms.
The ideal candidate is client-outcome focused, bringing a combination of strong strategic thinking and hands-on experience with social media management across various channels. Additionally, this role requires graphic design skills to produce eye-catching visuals that align with our clients' brand identities.
Key Responsibilities :
Social Media Strategy Development :
Develop and execute tailored social media strategies for key clients, focusing on increasing engagement, brand visibility, and audience growth.
Conduct research to stay current with social media trends, emerging platforms, and industry best practices, applying this knowledge to client strategies.
Analyze social media data to assess campaign effectiveness, adjusting strategies as needed to optimize results.
Communicate social media strategy and best practices with team members and clients.
Manage social media calendars for key clients
Content Creation and Scheduling :
Create, curate, and schedule high-quality, engaging content across various social media channels (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter).
Experience with or willingness to learn other social media channels such as Reddit, Pinterest, TikTok.
Write compelling captions, select relevant hashtags, and ensure posts align with the clients’ tone and voice.
Respond to client requests and notes in a timely manner.
Coordinate with the broader content team to align social media content with overall brand campaigns and marketing objectives.
Graphic Design for Social Media :
Design graphics for social media posts, ensuring they are visually appealing, on-brand, and optimized for each platform’s requirements.
Use design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva) to create social media visuals, including infographics, carousel posts, banners, and other promotional materials.
Collaborate with the content and paid media teams to maintain brand consistency across all visual and written content.
Community Engagement and Monitoring :
Monitor social media channels for client mentions, industry trends, and engagement opportunities.
Respond to comments and messages in a timely and professional manner, supporting the community-building efforts for each client.
Performance Tracking and Reporting :
Track social media metrics and prepare regular performance reports for clients, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
Use analytics tools (e.g., Sprout Social, native platform insights) to assess campaign effectiveness and inform future strategies.
Requirements :
Proven experience in social media strategy, management, and execution across multiple platforms.
Proficiency in graphic design, with experience creating social media content using tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar.
Strong understanding of social media trends, best practices, and analytics.
Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to adapt tone and style for various audiences and platforms.
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple client accounts with a high level of autonomy.
Experience with Sprout Social is a plus.
Terms.
Hours : 15 hours per week during main business hours, usually 9am-5pm ET Monday-Friday
Location : Hybrid or Remote (availability to attend occasional virtual team meetings required)
Compensation : Competitive hourly rate based on experience
