Psychiatric Rehabilitation Specialist
Light Hope Inc. Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program (PRP) is psychiatric rehabilitation program located in Baltimore County. We are currently looking for a full-time licensed mental health professional for our full-time Rehabilitation Counselor positions. Our ideal candidates will be people who have great people skills and is able to work independently.
The focus of our Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program is to help individuals gain independence and real-world skills. It allows clients who are receiving therapy to apply the coping skills that they are learning to real-life situations. It helps clients to get connected with any community resources that they require. It also serves as a mentoring program for adults.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Managing medical records and requesting records from outside agencies
- Completing and tracking individual rehabilitation plans obtaining authorizations for services
- Review of client services to meet COMAR and billable standards supervising PRP counselors
- Checking for note corrections and releasing notes
- Scheduling new referrals and completing intake assessments
- Keeping regular contact with PRP counselors
- Mediating client complaints
- Aiding in the rehabilitation of our clients
- Attending weekly management staff meetings
- Train rehabilitation counselors
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
-Previous experience as a rehabilitation specialist
-Thorough understanding of clinical documentation
-Working understanding of COMAR regulations for outpatient mental health and clinical documentation
-Effective time management skills and the ability to work independently.
-Full understanding of ethics in clinical care and crisis intervention.

Experience: Mental health: 2 years (Required)License: CPR/First Aid
