Job Title: Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) Production and Training Manager
Reports to: Director of Social Enterprise
Effective Date: 1 February 2025
FLSA Classification: Exempt
Location: On-site at 202 West Street and travel around Anne Arundel County. This is not a remote position.
Position Summary
The CPG Production and Training Manager oversees the general management of all granola and training operations, which includes: food and labor cost management; inventory management; menu planning; food quality control; shipping, and safety and sanitation management. The CPG Production and Training Manager is a working manager who actively participates in daily production tasks.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Training Program Support:
- Work as employee advocate for the Clients and Students at the Bistro
- Tracks all Workforce date and Snap E&T on the google drive and in Maryland Works
- Works with the Social Enterprise Management team to set kitchen schedule that is conducive to integrating trainees into production
- Hands-on teaching while working with students to accomplish production tasks.

- TIPS Trainer
- SafeBars Trainer
Food Service Operations:
- Implements and enforces all kitchen standard operating procedures
- Oversees production consistency and quality
- Incorporate Customer Feedback and Social Listening into production SOPs
- Places all orders with the Executive Chef
- Manages inventory
- Works with the Sales Coordinator on new market outreach;
- Ensures that kitchen conforms to legal safety and health specifications.
Experience and Skills:
- Must have a basic understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills.
- Understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures.
- Must be able to speak clearly and listen attentively to staff, peers, managers, and guests.
- Be flexible and adaptable to work calmly and effectively under pressure.
- Ability to take direction and work effectively in a team environment.
- Must have problem solving abilities, be self-motivated, and organized.
- Commitment to quality service.
- Must be able to read and understand basic cooking directions.
- 5 Years training / teaching experience required
Physical Requirements:
Day to day physical needs will change, this position may require prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer, working in a restaurant environment to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
